Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his strong commitment to making the state crime-free, firmly stating that as long as he is in office, criminal activities will face strict and uncompromising action.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Police AI Hackathon held at RVR JC Engineering College in Guntur, Naidu emphasized the importance of technology in governance and public safety. His address came after interactions with IT firms and AI experts attending the event.

“Telangana became the state with the highest per capita income because of IT. Hyderabad evolved into the most livable city in the country. Back in united Andhra Pradesh, we curbed rowdyism, Naxalism, and smuggling,” Naidu recalled, pointing to his track record in tackling crime and promoting development.

He added with resolve, “As long as CBN exists, there is no place for criminals. We are fighting anti-social forces with the power of technology.”

Vision for a technological future

Highlighting his government’s emphasis on innovation, Naidu spoke about the upcoming initiatives under the Quantum Valley project. “We are prioritizing AI. The strength of Telugu people must be showcased to the world through artificial intelligence. The myth that AI will steal jobs must be dispelled,” he said.

Naidu announced that starting August 15, the state would roll out WhatsApp Governance, allowing citizens to access certificates and services from home. “Technology should evolve with time. In the future, it’s not just about working hard—it’s about working smart. Those who do will conquer the world,” he declared.

The Chief Minister also revealed plans to establish India’s first Drone City and Space City, cementing Andhra Pradesh’s place as a hub for cutting-edge innovation.
