Chandrababu Naidu launches India’s first Green Hydrogen valley

In a landmark move toward sustainable development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced the launch of India’s first Green Hydrogen Valley during the INVESTOPIA Global Andhra Pradesh Summit held in Vijayawada today.

The ambitious initiative underscores the state’s commitment to pioneering clean energy solutions and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for green technology.

Speaking at the summit, Naidu highlighted the state’s robust infrastructure, seamless connectivity, and skilled workforce, which make Andhra Pradesh an ideal location for this groundbreaking project. The Green Hydrogen Valley aims to revolutionize energy production by leveraging renewable resources to produce green hydrogen, a clean fuel with applications across industries like transportation, manufacturing, and power generation.

The initiative is expected to attract significant investments and create thousands of jobs, aligning with Naidu’s vision of a “Swarna Andhra Pradesh” by 2047.

“Today, we take a historic step toward a sustainable future. The Green Hydrogen Valley will not only boost Andhra Pradesh’s economy but also position India as a leader in clean energy innovation,” Naidu declared.

Andhra Pradesh’s potential

The summit, attended by industry leaders and policymakers, showcased Andhra Pradesh’s potential as an investment destination. Naidu emphasized the state’s investor-friendly policies and strategic advantages, including its extensive coastline and renewable energy potential, which are critical for green hydrogen production. The initiative is expected to foster collaborations with global tech and energy giants.

This launch follows Naidu’s recent announcement of the Quantum Valley, set to be inaugurated on January 1, 2026, in Amaravati, signaling his continued focus on cutting-edge technology and sustainable development.
