Sree Vishnu and Ketika Sharma: Both regret their choices

Actors Sree Vishnu and Ketika Sharma recently opened up about their disappointments regarding their previous films, offering candid insights during the promotional rounds for their upcoming release #Single, slated to hit screens on May 9.

Transgender role

Sree Vishnu faced heavy trolling for his role as a transgender person in “Swag,” which was met with lukewarm reception. Reflecting on the criticism, he admitted the film’s marketing failed to properly communicate its message.

“I don’t regret acting in Swag, but we could’ve done a better job in preparing audiences for the story. The promotional strategy didn’t align with the film’s intent,” he said.

Ketika Sharma, who played the female lead in #Single, also voiced her regrets. She received backlash for her first-ever item number “Idhi Dha Surprisu” in Nithiin’s upcoming film Robinhood. The performance sparked controversy, with the Telangana Women’s Commission taking issue with its provocative choreography.

“It was a learning curve. I should have been more cautious about the choreography. The criticism really made me reflect on the choices I make as an actor,” she stated.

Both actors are now hoping to bounce back with #Single, promising more thoughtful roles and performances that connect better with their audience.
