Ketika Sharma: No lewd content in ‘Single’

Actress Ketika Sharma has broken her silence on the controversy surrounding her item number “Adhi Dha Surprisu” from the film Robinhood, expressing regret over the dance moves that drew widespread criticism.

In a recent interview, the actress acknowledged the backlash and said the experience taught her valuable lessons, prompting a more thoughtful approach in her future projects—starting with her upcoming film “#Single.”

Ketika Sharma regrets

Released in March 2025, the “Robinhood” song was heavily criticized for its provocative choreography. Netizens slammed it as “vulgar,” with many demanding a ban. The controversy intensified when portions of the song were censored due to its bold moves, which ultimately failed to garner the viral attention that was anticipated.

“I regret that the song was perceived in a way that made people uncomfortable,” Ketika said. “It was a learning curve, and I’ve grown from it. I’m now more mindful of the content I associate with and how it resonates with audiences.”

No vulgarity in Single

Ketika emphasized that “Single,” slated for release on May 9, 2025, contains no such controversial elements.

 “With Single, we’ve focused on telling a meaningful story with honest performances. There’s nothing provocative—it’s a film that families and audiences of all ages can enjoy,” she assured.

The film stars Ketika alongside Sree Vishnu and Ivana. The actress also shared insights into her evolving approach to role selection. “I want to be part of stories that connect emotionally and culturally. The controversy reminded me of the importance of quality and sensitivity in my choices.”
