Janhvi Kapoor made a spectacular debut at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, captivating audiences with her red-carpet appearance for the premiere of her film Homebound in the Un Certain Regard section. The actress, known for her bold fashion choices and rising cinematic presence, took the French Riviera by storm, sharing breathtaking pictures from the iconic festival on social media, much to the delight of her fans.

For her red-carpet debut, Janhvi turned heads in a custom blush pink three-piece ethnic ensemble designed by Tarun Tahiliani, styled by her cousin Rhea Kapoor. The outfit, a modern take on the traditional saree, featured a handwoven Banarasi tissue skirt, a corset-style top, and a signature drape with a hand-crushed texture, blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary flair. She accessorized with a dazzling multi-layered diamond and pearl necklace from Chopard, adding regal elegance to her look.

Homebound premiere

Janhvi was joined at the premiere by Homebound co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, director Neeraj Ghaywan, and producers Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. The film, backed by Dharma Productions and executive-produced by Martin Scorsese, tells the story of two friends from a small village aspiring to join the police force, with Janhvi playing a pivotal role that adds emotional depth.

Janhvi’s Cannes debut marks a significant step in her international career, following her recent success in Devara: Part 1 and upcoming projects like Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra.
