KTR: We are undeterred by Kaleshwaram enquiry notices

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched an attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, asserting that the BRS remains unshaken by the enquiry notices issued in connection with the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.

KTR accused the Congress government of using politically motivated investigations to divert attention from its governance failures, vowing a “befitting reply” to what he described as a campaign of false propaganda.

“The Congress government’s notices are nothing but dust. We will not be silenced by these tactics. The BRS will continue to expose this failed administration,” KTR declared

Revanth Reddy’s diversionary games!

He alleged that the enquiry—led by the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission into alleged irregularities and cost escalations in the Kaleshwaram project—is part of a larger Congress strategy to malign former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and undermine one of the BRS’s flagship initiatives. “They are trying to erase KCR’s legacy and sabotage Telangana’s progress,” KTR said.

KTR further accused the Congress of deliberately neglecting urgent issues, such as the recent collapse of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel, which resulted in the loss of eight lives, while fixating on politically charged probes.

“Instead of addressing real problems, they are playing diversionary games to cover up their inability to deliver on promises like farm loan waivers and financial aid to women,” he added.

Defending the Kaleshwaram project as a “blessing for Telangana farmers,” KTR claimed that structural issues such as the sinking of piers at the Medigadda barrage may have been intentionally caused to frame the BRS leadership.

“Congress leaders would rather see the project fail so they can pin the blame on KCR. This is nothing short of a conspiracy to halt Telangana’s growth,” he alleged.

Political theatrics!

In a direct challenge to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR promised a strong political and legal counter to the charges. “The people of Telangana will see through this drama. We will respond with facts and expose the incompetence of this government,” he asserted.

He also accused both the Congress and BJP of engaging in “political theatrics,” ignoring critical infrastructure failures and public welfare concerns.

The ongoing Kaleshwaram enquiry has intensified political tensions in Telangana. The Justice P.C. Ghose Commission is investigating cost escalations, structural lapses, and alleged procedural violations in the execution of the project. Former CM KCR and former Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, received notices from the commission.
