‘HIT 3’ director Sailesh Kolanu is frustrated with ‘Karthi’ leaks

Nani starrer “HIT 3” is all set to release on the first of May, with promotions having just begun. This is a successful movie franchise with two previous movies that have already been successful.

Sailesh Kolanu directed the previous two movies and is also directing the third. In the second part of “HIT,” Nani appeared in the end, and he later became the hero in the third installment. It has now been speculated that Tamil star Karthi will appear in “HIT 3,” and he might play the main lead in “HIT 4.”

A journalist working with a website first leaked the information, and later on all social media and media handles picked it up. So, Sailesh Kolanu became furious and took to social media to rant against the media and the said journalist.

Sailesh said the journalists are forgetting basic principles of journalism by spoiling the movie experience by leaking information that was meant for cinematic experience in the theaters for the audiences.

 “For every single moment of excitement that is experienced in the cinemas by our audience, there is a story of a huge team working relentlessly for days and nights together, slogging beyond their physical capabilities. All for that moment of impact that we want to create in the auditorium. We take pride in that. It’s sad to see the plight of the media scenario today, some of whom don’t think even for a second before leaking details about the kind of moments that are meant to be enjoyed while watching the movie in the theatres only. While the nature of job to report first is understandable, it boils down to the values and ethics of individual journalist and media houses to assess if it’s right or wrong to report the findings.

There are moments in the history where journalists raised above their job description and chose not to report some events just because it’s not correct. I only wish these certain bunch of people had that kind of class. This kind of reporting is not just stealing a film crew’s hard work, it’s equivalent to stealing directly from the audience.”
