Telangana Govt plans eco-park to counter KTR’s statement?

Media reports say that the Telangana government, headed by Revanth Reddy, now plans to make the 400-acre Kancha Gachibowli lands into an eco-park, taking lands from other areas and making it a 2000-acre giant park in the center of the city.

On the lines of New York’s Central Park

New York’s Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with an estimated 42 million visitors annually. It is also one of the most filmed locations in the world. It is a huge attraction to the city and also a tourist attraction. To avoid further complications and political embarrassment, Revanth Reddy, according to the Andhra Jyothy newspaper, is planning to turn these Kancha Gachibowli lands into a Central Park.

Revanth Reddy’s counterplan to KTR’s statement

BRS working president KT Ramarao, aka KTR, announced on Thursday that once the BRS government comes into power, they will turn Kancha Gachibowli into an eco-park, and if any buyers or real estate companies buy the land, they will be cancelled.

To counter KTR’s political statement, Revanth Reddy is now proposing an eco-park on the lines of New York’s Central Park.

What KTR said…

KTR warned prospective buyers not to purchase even an inch of land from these 400 acres.

“After an internal meeting and with the guidance of our party president and former chief minister, KCR Garu, we have decided to make the 400 acres of Kancha Gachibowli into a mini-forest. If our government is formed in the next three years, we will announce the land as a green zone and make it into the best eco-park. When we were in power, we created a Gandharivanam on 300 acres in the Mancherial district of the state. Likewise, we will be turning these 400 acres into a mini forest within Hyderabad city,” KTR announced.

In the same way, KTR and BRS have warned real estate companies that they will cancel the deals if any company buys from the government in a proposal to sell them off.
