KTR warns Police acting as “Private Army” of CM Revanth Reddy

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) addressed the media today at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, sharply criticizing the Congress-led state government over the ongoing controversy surrounding the Kancha-Gachibowli lands. The press meet came in response to a recent Supreme Court order and saw KTR launch a strong attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s administration.

Key Highlights from KTR’s Press Meet

– KTR accused the Congress government of mismanaging prime real estate in areas like Kanche and Gachibowli, alleging that its policies are tailored to benefit a few favored real estate brokers. He reiterated his claim of a “multi-thousand crore scam” and questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had previously criticized the so-called “RR tax” (Rahul-Revanth tax) in Telangana.

– “You had no hesitation in commenting on bulldozers at the University of Hyderabad. But why are you not acting now?” KTR asked, urging Modi to respond before the end of the month. “If there’s no action, we will take this to central agencies and the people,” he warned. He also remarked that Modi’s continued silence would make him complicit in what he described as an environmental and financial “sin.”

– KTR further accused the state police of acting like a “private army” for CM Revanth Reddy by filing baseless cases against BRS leaders and social media supporters. He described these legal actions as “desperate attempts to suppress dissent and distract from governance failures.”

– He issued a stern warning to law enforcement officers involved in filing cases over posts and reposts related to the Kancha-Gachibowli biodiversity issue. “There will be legal consequences,” he said, adding that the BRS would not hesitate to approach the Supreme Court if needed.
