Pawan Kalyan dismisses YS Jagan's comeback

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and JanaSena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan declared that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and JSP, will remain in power for at least 15 to 20 years. He firmly ruled out any possibility of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy returning to power. The statement was made during a public address in Visakhapatnam, where Kalyan emphasized the coalition’s unity and commitment to the state’s development.

“We are united, and no one should have second thoughts about Jagan coming back to power. The YSRCP will not set foot in the Assembly, let alone return to government. This alliance is here to stay for 15 to 20 years,” Pawan Kalyan asserted, addressing supporters and party workers.

He highlighted the NDA’s landslide victory in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, where the coalition secured 165 of 175 seats, with JSP winning all 21 Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats it contested.

AP cannot afford YSCRP’s return

Pawan Kalyan, credited with forging the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance, reiterated that the coalition’s strength lies in its shared vision to counter the YSRCP’s “autocratic rule” and ensure political stability and economic prosperity.

“We’ve made it clear—Andhra Pradesh cannot afford the YSRCP’s return. Our unity is unbreakable, and we are committed to the state’s progress,” he said, referring to the coalition’s coordinated efforts, including his meetings with TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and BJP leaders like Amit Shah and J.P. Nadda to solidify the alliance.

The JSP leader’s remarks come amid ongoing controversies, including the recent land allotment issue involving the LuLu Group in Visakhapatnam, which has drawn criticism from YSRCP and other opposition groups. Pawan Kalyan dismissed these as attempts to destabilize the NDA government, urging party workers to remain focused on governance and public welfare.

YSRCP leaders, however, hit back, accusing Kalyan of overconfidence and ignoring public grievances.

As Andhra Pradesh gears up for continued NDA governance, Kalyan’s bold prediction has sparked heated discussions, with analysts noting his pivotal role in consolidating anti-YSRCP votes and bridging the Kapu and Kamma communities, a key factor in the alliance’s 2024 triumph.
