Liquor Scam: Vijay Sai Reddy’s target is Jagan?

Former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and ex-Rajya Sabha MP V. Vijay Sai Reddy has made a dramatic declaration to expose what he calls “explosive truths” about the alleged multi-crore liquor scam that occurred during the YSRCP government led by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Positioning himself as a whistleblower, Reddy vowe to “strip away all layers hiding the liquor thieves.”

Reddy alleged that key figures behind the scam include Rajampet MP P. Mithun Reddy and Raj Kasireddy, who were allegedly involved in manipulating liquor policy to benefit Ada Distilleries Private Limited. He labeled Kasireddy as the “kingpin” and a “clever criminal,” accusing him and his associates including Avinash Reddy, Chanikya and Suneeth of running a hawala network to divert funds illegally.

While admitting that he helped facilitate a Rs 100 crore loan from Aurobindo company at the behest of Mithun Reddy, Kasireddy, and SPY Distilleries owner Sajjala Sridhar Reddy, Vijay Sai Reddy claimed ignorance of Kasireddy’s alleged criminal motives.

Target Jagan?

Reddy also disclosed that initial liquor policy discussions took place at his residences in Hyderabad and Tadepalli but denied knowledge of any kickbacks or illegal transactions.

The SIT, formed by the TDP-led NDA government in November 2024, has recently escalated its investigation.

On April 21, authorities arrested Raj Kasireddy at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Reddy’s testimony has since drawn other YSRCP leaders into the spotlight, escalating internal tensions within the party.
