‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ sets eyes on Chinese market

The film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in its initial release phase, amassing 1871 crores worldwide. Celebrated for its commercial success, it has outperformed other major Indian films like ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘RRR’.

The movie’s success is attributed to its star power, particularly Allu Arjun, and there is speculation about its potential to break further records if released in markets like China and Japan.

Dangal’s supremacy

Aamir Khan’s film “Dangal” achieved a remarkable feat at the Chinese box office, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films there. Released in China in May 2017, “Dangal” resonated deeply with Chinese audiences due to its themes of gender equality, family, and societal struggles.

Pushpa 2’s potential in the Chinese market

The release of “Pushpa 2” in China could redefine the trajectory for Indian cinema if it manages to capture even a fraction of Dangal’s success.

If “Pushpa 2” can achieve this, it might not only break existing records but also pave the way for more South Indian films to explore this lucrative market.
