NTR spotted with ‘Muruga’ book

NTR, fondly known as the ‘Man of Masses,’ has sparked excitement among fans after being spotted at Mumbai airport today, holding a copy of Muruga: The Lord of War, The God of Wisdom by Anand Balasubramanian.

The sighting has fueled speculation that the actor is diving deep into research for his upcoming mythological film with acclaimed director Trivikram Srinivas, tentatively titled God of War.

NTR’s mythological drama

NTR, who was in Mumbai to resume shooting for his Bollywood debut War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, was photographed with his family, but it was the book in his hand that stole the spotlight.

Social media erupted with posts from fans and media outlets, with many interpreting the sighting as confirmation of NTR’s preparation for the role of Lord Kartikeya (also known as Murugan or Subrahmanya Swamy) in Trivikram’s ambitious project.

The film, backed by Harika Hassine Creations, marks a reunion between NTR and Trivikram after their successful collaboration on Aravinda Sametha. Unlike their previous faction drama, this project is set to be a grand mythological epic, with NTR portraying the divine warrior deity.

Sources close to the production indicate that the project was recently finalized, with filming expected to commence in the second half of 2025, following NTR’s completion of Dragon, his ongoing project with director Prashanth Neel, slated for a June 2026 release.
