Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has returned to the sets of his Telugu debut “They Call Him OG” (also known as “OG”), after recovering from dengue. The actor was diagnosed on May 28, 2025, during filming in Mumbai’s Aarey Colony. Following a brief recovery period, Hashmi resumed shooting, expressing his gratitude and excitement.

“I’m back in action, and it feels good! I took some time off to recover from dengue, but now I’m fully recovered and back on set. A big thank you to everyone for all the love and thoughtful messages,” he shared.

Production resumes after pause

The high-octane gangster drama, directed by Sujeeth (Saaho) and produced by DVV Entertainment, features Hashmi as the antagonist Omi Bhau. He stars opposite Pawan Kalyan, who plays Ojas Gambheera.

The film also features Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj in key roles. While Hashmi’s illness briefly paused production, shooting has now resumed in Mumbai, with the team focusing on high-intensity sequences, including dramatic face-offs between Hashmi and Kalyan.
