Bobby Deol plays the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming period drama “Hari Hara Veera Mallu”, directed by Jyothi Krishna. While Bobby had already shot a few scenes for the film, a major change came about after the director watched his powerful performance in “Animal”.
“Bobby Deol garu’s performance in Animal was spellbinding,” said Jyothi Krishna. “His ability to express deep emotions through just his expressions, despite having minimal dialogue, truly impressed us. I felt the need to revise his character in our film and give it a complete makeover.”
Inspired by Bobby’s intense screen presence and newfound acclaim, Jyothi Krishna rewrote the character’s arc to bring out greater emotional depth and align it with the actor’s strengths. The revised version enhances various aspects of Aurangzeb’s personality—his backstory, motivations, and physical portrayal—offering a more layered and compelling role.
“Aurangzeb needed a stronger arc to do justice to Bobby garu’s stardom and the expectations that now surround him,” the director added.
“When I narrated the new version of the character, he was thrilled. Bobby is an actor who thrives on exploring new dimensions and constantly reinventing himself. In “Hari Hara Veera Mallu”, he appears more intense than ever. His screen presence, elegance, and the way he conveys so much with just his eyes is remarkable. Working with him has been a fantastic experience.”
The reimagined Aurangzeb promises to be a standout character in the film, elevated by Bobby Deol’s evolving craft and Jyothi Krishna’s fresh vision.
