Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun, fresh off the blockbuster success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, is set to collaborate with acclaimed Malayalam director Basil Joseph for an upcoming film, sparking excitement among fans across India.
The project, reportedly backed by Geetha Arts, marks a significant pan-India venture for the Pushpa star, known for his dynamic performances and mass appeal.
According to industry sources, Basil Joseph, celebrated for his innovative storytelling in films like “Minnal Murali” (2021), recently narrated a gripping action-thriller script to Allu Arjun, which the actor has enthusiastically approved.
The film, tentatively referred to as Allu Arjun’s 23rd project (#AA23), is said to blend Joseph’s unique narrative style with Arjun’s charismatic screen presence, promising a fresh cinematic experience. The discussions are ongoing for music composer Jakes Bejoy to join the team.
This collaboration comes as a surprise, especially after reports that Allu Arjun’s planned mythological project with director Trivikram Srinivas was shelved, with Jr. NTR now in talks to take over that role.
Instead, Arjun has opted for this new venture with Joseph, marking his first collaboration with a Malayalam filmmaker.
Fans are particularly thrilled about the potential impact in Kerala, where Basil Joseph enjoys a strong following. While an official announcement is still awaited, the buzz around this project has already heightened anticipation.
Allu Arjun’s packed schedule includes another high-profile film with director Atlee, tentatively titled AA22xA6, set to begin filming this month.
