Akhil Akkineni marries Zainab Ravdjee in an intimate ceremony

Akhil Akkineni, the charming Telugu actor and son of superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, tied the knot with Zainab Ravdjee in a private wedding ceremony held early this morning. The event took place at Nagarjuna’s residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, in a traditional manner with only close family and select friends in attendance.

The ceremony, held in the early hours, was marked by its simplicity and warmth.

Low-key wedding ceremony

Opting for a low-key affair, Akhil and Zainab chose the Akkineni home as the perfect venue to exchange vows. A formal wedding reception is scheduled to be held on Sunday at Annapurna Studios, where a larger gathering is expected.

Zainab Ravdjee, who has maintained a low profile despite her association with the Akkineni family, works in the entertainment and fashion space. Known for her grace and elegance, Zainab has built a strong rapport with Akhil’s family over the years. She and Akhil had been in a committed relationship for over three years and got engaged last year, keeping their relationship largely private until recently.

This marks Akhil’s second engagement. A few years ago, he was engaged to designer Shriya Bhupal, granddaughter of industrialist GVK Reddy. The engagement, however, was called off just months before the wedding, reportedly due to personal differences. The sudden cancellation had drawn considerable media attention at the time.

A new chapter in Akhil’s life

Since then, Akhil has maintained a dignified silence about his personal life, choosing instead to focus on his career. His marriage to Zainab appears to be a fresh new chapter, built on mutual understanding and a deep personal connection.

On the professional front, Akhil Akkineni has had a mixed journey in Telugu cinema. Debuting with Akhil (2015), he struggled initially to find a firm footing despite coming from one of the most respected film families in the industry.

While his performances were appreciated, consistent box-office success eluded him until “Most Eligible Bachelor” (2021), which gave him a much-needed hit.
