Never-ending production of Prabhas’s The Raja Saab

“The Raja Saab,” directed by Maruthi and starring Prabhas, has been getting delayed for a long time. The film began its shooting three years ago. Still, it has not wrapped. The latest buzz is that director Maruthi feels he needs another 50 to 60 days to complete the shooting part.

Current status

The principal dialogue scenes have been completed. The production team has scheduled approximately 30 days to film the song sequences. Given the romantic horror genre of the film, we expect these musical numbers to be both elaborate and integral to the storyline. Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal are playing the heroines for Prabhas in the film.

There are doubts whether this film will release this year. But the buzz is that “The Raja Saab” might arrive in theaters in the last quarter of 2025.

Story

Set against the backdrop of an ancestral property, “The Raja Saab” weaves a narrative around a young man aiming to reclaim his family’s mansion to alleviate financial troubles. However, he soon discovers that the estate is haunted by the vengeful spirit of activist Dadasaheb Shani Singh Thakur, leading to a blend of horror, comedy, and romance.
