Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath Passes Away at 63

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA from Jubilee Hills, Maganti Gopinath, passed away early Sunday morning at the age of 63 following a heart attack.

The three-time legislator had been admitted to AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli on June 5 after suffering a severe cardiac arrest. Despite intensive care, his condition worsened, and he passed away at 5:45 AM, hospital authorities confirmed.

From TDP to BRS

Gopinath, a prominent figure in Telangana politics, began his career with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1983, serving as president of its youth wing, Telugu Yuvatha. He later joined the BRS and successfully represented Jubilee Hills in the 2014, 2018, and 2023 assembly elections. His victory in 2023, defeating Congress candidate Mohammad Azharuddin, was particularly noteworthy and further cemented his standing as a strong political leader.
