In a letter addressed to Union Minister and current state BJP chief G Kishan Reddy, Raja Singh criticized the central leadership’s decision, which he claimed had disappointed not only him but also “lakhs of Karyakartas, leaders, and voters” who had stood by the party. His resignation follows media reports that the BJP high command has cleared Ramchander Rao’s name for the top state post, with no other contenders likely. Ramchander Rao, a High Court advocate and former member of the Telangana Legislative Council, has long been associated with the BJP through its youth and legal wings. Raja Singh insisted that his resignation was not driven by personal ambition. “I have been a dedicated Karyakarta, elected three times with the people’s blessings and the party’s support. But today, I cannot stay silent or pretend everything is fine. This is about the pain and frustration of countless loyal party workers who feel unheard and ignored.” “With a heavy heart, I resign from the primary membership of the BJP,” he concluded. “While I am stepping away from the party, I remain committed to the ideology of Hindutva and to serving the people of Goshamahal.
