A cornerstone of the CM’s vision is the creation of ‘Future City’—a futuristic, 30,000-acre, net-zero carbon urban center to be developed between the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar highways. Designed to rival global cities such as New York, London, and Dubai, Future City will include a dedicated AI City, hyperscale data centers, specialized educational institutions, and an exclusive AI University aimed at preparing Telangana’s youth for high-tech careers.

Competition with the world’s best

“Hyderabad will no longer just compete with other Indian cities—it will stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s best,” Reddy declared. Acknowledging Telangana’s landlocked geography, the CM also announced the development of a Mega Dry Port with seamless rail and road connectivity to the Machilipatnam Port in neighboring Andhra Pradesh, significantly enhancing the state’s logistics infrastructure and export capabilities.
