Etela Rajender: I’m not Afraid of Revanth Reddy’s notices

Malkajgiri MP and senior BJP leader Etela Rajender launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of using the Kaleshwaram Commission Enquiry notices as a political tool to intimidate opponents. Rajender’s remarks came in response to reports of notices issued by the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission, which is investigating alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.

Revanth Reddy’s gimmicks!

Speaking to the media, Rajender asserted that he has not yet received any official notice from the commission but emphasized that he is unafraid of such actions. 

“I have not received any notices, but let me make it clear—I am not someone who will be scared by these tactics,” Rajender said.

He accused the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government of orchestrating a political vendetta to silence opposition voices, particularly those critical of the state’s handling of major projects.

Rajender, a former minister in the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, claimed that the enquiry into the Kaleshwaram project is being manipulated to target political rivals rather than address genuine concerns about the project’s execution. He alleged that the Congress government is attempting to deflect attention from its own governance failures by focusing on the previous BRS regime’s projects. 

Witch-hunt will not work!

“Revanth Reddy is trying to create a smokescreen to hide his administration’s inefficiencies. This is nothing but a witch-hunt,” Rajender charged.

The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, one of the flagship initiatives of the previous BRS government, has been under scrutiny for alleged cost overruns and structural issues, including the sinking of piers at the Medigadda barrage. The Justice P.C. Ghose Commission was constituted to probe these concerns.

Rajender further criticized Revanth Reddy, accusing him of intellectual bankruptcy and failing to fulfill electoral promises, echoing sentiments from his earlier statements where he demanded the CM’s resignation. “The people of Telangana are watching, and they will not forgive this government for its tactics,” he added.
