Pawan Kalyan urges for Andhra feeling

Pawan Kalyan, who has so far been demanding to set up a Sanatana Dharma board, has now appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to start loving their state. He stated that Andhra people should feel the same sense of belonging to their state as Telangana people do.

Pawan Kalyan, in the role of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, delivered a significant speech in the state Legislative Assembly on Feb 25.

Kalyan remarked that Telangana’s people share a strong collective identity, encapsulated in the sentiment of “Naa Telangana” (My Telangana), which he felt fostered a sense of oneness. Conversely, he articulated his discontent with the absence of a comparable unifying spirit in Andhra Pradesh.

Caste over state

“In Andhra, people are segregated by caste, lacking a unifying ‘Andhra’ sentiment,” he remarked, highlighting a profound caste-based separation within the state.

He criticized the YSRCP for their obstructive conduct during the Governor’s address, alleging a violation of constitutional principles and a squandering of public resources.

Development issues

Pawan Kalyan said unless people start owning up to their Andhra identity and consider fellow citizens as their own, the caste divisions continue and the development gets hampered. He felt this was the time that all people in Andhra Pradesh take pride in their Andhra identity.
