Nitish Kumar won’t be CM of Bihar: Prashant Kishor predicts

Nitish Kumar will not return as the state’s chief minister after the upcoming assembly elections, predicted political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor. Confident in his forecast, Kishor even offered to give it in writing.

In a conversation with NDTV on Saturday, Kishor asserted that he is not in the race for the chief minister’s post himself, but claimed his newly formed party has already begun making a tangible impact in Bihar.

He also raised concerns about the electoral roll revision process, calling for greater transparency.

Is Vijay’s political party C-team of BJP?

Kishor, who has worked with parties across the political spectrum—including the JDU, BJP, Trinamool Congress, and Congress—revealed that an internal survey conducted by his team shows 62% of Biharis want political change. The key question now, he said, is who will earn their trust: his new political platform, or traditional parties like Lalu Yadav’s RJD and the Congress.

“In the next two months, it will be clear who the 60% seeking change will support. Will they go back to those who’ve failed them before? Or will they choose a new alternative? One thing is certain: Nitish Kumar will not be Bihar’s chief minister after November. I can give you that in writing,” Kishor said

Bihar elections key to Modi’s govt

Pushing his claims further, Kishor said the JDU would not win more than 25 seats out of Bihar’s 243 in the upcoming elections. He even declared that he would quit politics if proven wrong.

With assembly elections expected later this year, Prashant Kishor’s bold predictions and sharp attacks have added a fresh layer of intrigue to Bihar’s political scene, setting the stage for what promises to be a high-stakes electoral battle. If Nitish Kumar’s party losses, it will be trouble for Prime Minister Modi.
