Explosive allegations against Akhila Priya

YSRCP leader Bhuma Kishore Reddy has launched a scathing attack on Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya, making sensational allegations that she is extorting money even from beggars at the Ahobilam temple in Nandyal district.

The verbal battle erupted after Akhila Priya criticized YSRCP leaders, questioning their silence on water release from the KC Canal. She mocked them, asking, “Are they herding donkeys instead of speaking up for farmers?”

In response, Kishore Reddy fired back, saying, “You draw lakhs in salary and do nothing—are you the one herding donkeys?”

He accused her of misleading the public by falsely claiming that water had been released into the KC Canal. To counter her statement, he even presented a video showing distressed farmers in Sirivella, some of whom he claimed were on the brink of suicide due to a severe water shortage.

Allegations of corruption and extortion

Kishore Reddy escalated his attack by alleging that under the current coalition government, residents of Allagadda were being forced to pay extra charges on essential goods. He claimed:

  • Even for buying a kilo of chicken, an additional ₹10 is being collected as a commission in Akhila Priya’s name.
  • During Ramzan, Muslim shop owners are allegedly being harassed, with authorities seizing chicken shops, making it difficult for them to sustain their businesses.

In a particularly sensational claim, Kishore Reddy alleged that even beggars at the Ahobilam temple were being forced to give up a portion of their alms.

“If they earn ₹1,000 in alms, ₹800 is taken away, and only ₹200 is given back as a daily wage,” he said, citing complaints from the beggars themselves.

Slamming Akhila Priya’s alleged role in this, he stated, “Politics has fallen to such a disgraceful level that even beggars at temple steps are not being spared.”

Condemning the situation, Kishore Reddy remarked, “In my entire political career, I’ve never witnessed such shameless behavior.” He further attacked Akhila Priya by highlighting her brother Jagath Vikhyat Reddy’s criticism of the government, stating, “Even your own brother says this government is useless.”
