Chandrababu: ‘Speak in Telugu, learn English and Hindi’

“We should promote Telugu and English, but it is better to learn Hindi so that we can mingle with people easily. International languages help students to study, work, and thrive globally.”

This is what Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said. While Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin opposes the Centre’s New Education Policy (NEP), Naidu embraced it, tweaked it, and issued a bold new declaration. Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated that learning Hindi will assist Telugu people in gaining better opportunities in the rest of India.

Naidu has declared a ten-language strategy for the state’s universities. The policy, which was announced on Wednesday, aims to encourage multilingual education by including various regional, national, and international languages in the academic curriculum.

“Why only three languages? I will promote ten languages at every university,” he vowed.

While the full list of languages has yet to be decided, Naidu suggested a combination that reflects both national history and global significance.
