Actress, singer, and musician Shruti Haasan, daughter of veteran actor-politician Kamal Haasan, has regained control of her X.com account, which was hacked on June 24, 2025.
The “Salaar” star announced the recovery on her Instagram Stories late Wednesday, expressing gratitude to her fans and the X support team for their assistance during the ordeal.
Shruti’s X account, boasting 7.8 million followers, was compromised on Tuesday, with hackers posting unauthorized content promoting cryptocurrency and memecoins.
The unusual posts, including references to a “memecoin” linked to entrepreneur Mark Cuban, raised immediate suspicion among fans. Shruti promptly alerted her followers via Instagram, urging them not to interact with the compromised account. “Hi Lovelies, Just want to let you know my Twitter account has been hacked. That’s not me posting. So, don’t interact with that page till I’m back please,” she wrote.
On Wednesday, Shruti shared the good news, posting, “Back on X! Thank you all for your love and patience, and a big shoutout to the X support team for helping me recover my account. Please ignore any weird posts from yesterday. Let’s move forward!”
The recovery comes just a week after music director D. Imman successfully retrieved his hacked X account, highlighting a recent spate of cyberattacks targeting South Indian celebrities.
Fans expressed relief on X, with many praising Shruti’s quick response to the hack.
Shruti is currently working on high-profile projects, including Lokesh Kanagaraj’s “Coolie” with Rajinikanth and Salaar: Part 2.
