The long-awaited ““Hari Hara Veera Mallu”,” starring Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, has been delayed yet again due to severe financial constraints. The film has been postponed from June 12, 2025 release. Just a week day before the release, it ran into problems.
Originally envisioned as a grand cinematic spectacle set in the 17th century Mughal era, “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” has been plagued by budget overruns and funding gaps, particularly during its post-production phase.
Backed by AM Rathnam’s Mega Surya Productions, the film is facing problems like clearance of finances taken on this project.
Current movie finances to be cleared – Rs 80 Cr
Oxygen Movie’s dues – Rs 18Cr
Advance received from Overseas distributor – Rs 5 Cr
Total: Rs 100 Cr
These 100 Cr rupees Rathnam should clear all the parties before they give the clearance for the release. That is the main issue besides delay in VFX works.
Rathnam is expecting the following amount from three key areas from distributors for the rights.
1. Nizam – 70Cr
2. Andhra – 80Cr
3. Ceded – 35Cr
The delay has ignited debate across social media platforms, where fans expressed both disappointment and patience.
“Hari Hara Veera Mallu” showcases Pawan Kalyan in a never-seen-before avatar as a heroic outlaw resisting the Mughals. Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead.
