Congress suspends MLC Teenmaar Mallanna

Chintapandu Naveen, known as Teenmaar Mallanna, has been suspended from the Congress Party by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s Disciplinary Action Committee. The suspension was due to his involvement in anti-party activities, which included his criticism of the caste census conducted by the party’s government. 

Mallanna received a show cause notice, but he failed to respond, which resulted in his suspension.

Who is Teenmaar Mallanna?

Chintapandu Naveen became popular as Teenmaar Mallanna when he used to act in the show named “Teenmaar” for V6 News Channel. His satirical commentary on daily political events made him popular. Later he started his YouTube channel and ran anti-TRS (then ruling party) programs.

He switched to politics and unsuccessfully contested assembly elections. He joined Congress, BJP, and then Congress. After Revanth Reddy became CM, he gave him the chance as MLC and got elected.

Even though he is a Congress MLC, he has recently been making comments against the current Congress government and against the Reddy community. He has been holding meetings for the BC community.

Political pundits say Teenmaar Mallanna raised the BC card as part of Revanth Reddy’s longer plan. Despite his current suspension, Revanth Reddy has yet to criticize Mallanna. This incident tells a lot about the current ongoing Telangana politics and secret understandings between many leaders.
