BRS exposes Revanth Reddy’s ‘Economy Class’ claim with special flight photos

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of misleading the public by claiming to travel in economy class while allegedly using private jets and business class for official trips.

The controversy erupted after BRS leaders shared purported photos and documents on social media, highlighting Reddy’s travel in a private aircraft, contradicting his public stance as a “common man” leader.

On May 5, BRS leader Konatham Dileep Kumar posted on X, questioning Reddy’s claims of traveling like an ordinary passenger in economy class. “Do you have no shame for lying? Every step you take, it’s business class or private jets with your coterie,” he wrote, sharing images allegedly showing Reddy aboard a private plane. BRS leader Krishank Manne also took a dig, sarcastically remarking that Reddy was “authoring a book on how to fool with a lie,” accusing him and his team of consistently opting for luxurious travel.

The BRS’s allegations come amid Reddy’s recent admission of Telangana’s dire financial situation, where he stated that the state’s Rs 18,500 crore monthly revenue is insufficient to cover expenses, ruling out employee salary hikes.

The opposition party seized the opportunity to criticize Reddy’s priorities, questioning how he could justify extravagant travel while claiming fiscal constraints. “While Telangana struggles with a revenue shortfall, the ‘flight mode Chief Minister’ indulges in luxury,” said BRS MLC K. Kavitha, referencing her earlier critique of Reddy’s frequent Delhi trips. Revanth Reddy’s office has not officially responded to the allegations.
