Newlywed Man found dead in Kurnool: Another honeymoon murder?

Newlywed Man found dead in Kurnool: Another honeymoon murder?

In a chilling incident reminiscent of the recent Meghalaya honeymoon murder, a 32-year-old man, Tejeswar, from Gadwal, Telangana, was found dead in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district, just over a month after his wedding on May 18.

His body was discovered near the Galeru Nagari canal near Pinnapuram on June 21, prompting police to detain his wife, Ishwarya, and her mother, Sujatha, for questioning. The case has drawn parallels to the high-profile Meghalaya case, where a newlywed was killed during his honeymoon, allegedly by his wife and her accomplices.

Tejeswar, a licensed land surveyor and dance teacher, went missing on June 17, prompting his family to file a complaint with Gadwal police. CCTV footage revealed that Tejeswar had traveled in a car toward Kurnool, crossing the Nannur checkpost before the vehicle returned to the city. The investigation took a grim turn when Panyam police in Nandyal informed Gadwal authorities of a body found in the canal, later identified as Tejeswar. His body was sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Extramarital affair?

Tejeswar’s family has alleged that Ishwarya, who hails from Kurnool, was involved in an extramarital affair with a bank manager and conspired with her mother to orchestrate his murder. “We warned Tejeswar against marrying her after learning of her affair, but he went ahead,” a family member told media, claiming the bank manager lured Tejeswar to Pinnapuram under the pretext of a land survey job before killing him.

Police have identified a car believed to be linked to the crime and are questioning its driver and owner, but authorities have not yet confirmed the family’s allegations.

Similar to honeymoon murder case!

The case has sparked comparisons to the Meghalaya honeymoon murder, where Raja Raghuvanshi, a 29-year-old from Indore, was killed on June 2 during his honeymoon in Sohra. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, allegedly conspired with her lover, Raj Kushwaha, and hired three assailants to murder him, dumping his body in a gorge. Sonam and four others are currently in judicial custody, with the case gripping national attention due to its premeditated nature and betrayal.

However, police have cautioned against premature conclusions, stating the investigation is ongoing. “We are questioning the detained individuals and verifying all claims,” a senior Panyam police officer said, declining to comment on the affair allegations.

The Kurnool case has reignited discussions about trust and betrayal in relationships, with eerie similarities to the Meghalaya tragedy raising questions about whether it’s another calculated killing disguised as a marital bond. As investigations continue, authorities are under pressure to uncover the truth behind Tejeswar’s untimely death.
