Revanth Reddy appeals to PM Modi to reclaim PoK

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take decisive action against Pakistan and reclaim Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people, including 26 Indian tourists.

Reddy invoked the legacy of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, citing her firm responses to aggression during the 1967 conflict with China and the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

He said, “Modi ji, it’s time to give a befitting reply. Divide Pakistan into two and merge PoK with India. All 140 crore Indians are with you. This is not the time for politics.”

The Pahalgam attack, described as the deadliest in Kashmir since the 2019 Pulwama bombing, was claimed by The Resistance Front, a shadow outfit linked to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, according to Indian security agencies.

Joining the march, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also voiced solidarity against terrorism, posting on X: “We are all united against terrorism. Along with @revanth_anumula and thousands of Indian citizens, I participated in a candlelight march against the cowardly Pahalgam terror attack.” As tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors rise, the Telangana government has pledged full support to the Centre’s efforts to combat terrorism and uphold national sovereignty.
