Anand Mahindra applauds Chandrababu Naidu’s vision

Industrialist Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, has once again lauded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, calling him an unwavering source of inspiration and support.

In a social media post, Mahindra credited Naidu for playing a pivotal role in fostering initiatives like the Naandi Foundation, which has significantly improved the lives of tribal farmers in Andhra Pradesh’s Araku Valley through the globally acclaimed Araku Coffee project.

“Thank you, @ncbn, for your unwavering support & encouragement ever since you proposed the creation of @naandi_india,” Mahindra wrote in response to Naidu’s recent remarks on Araku Coffee’s growing international recognition. He further praised Naidu’s forward-thinking approach, stating, “Your ideas are spot on.”

Mahindra also highlighted a distinctive feature of every Araku Coffee café—including those in Paris, Bengaluru, and Mumbai—where maps of the coffee-growing region showcase its unique terroir. He noted that this detail would particularly resonate with the Chief Minister.

The exchange underscores a long-standing collaboration between the two leaders. During his earlier tenures as Chief Minister, Naidu had encouraged the Naandi Foundation—where Mahindra serves as Board Chairman—to empower tribal communities by promoting high-quality coffee cultivation. This vision has since come to fruition, with Araku Coffee earning global accolades and a second café set to open near the Pantheon in Paris.

Mahindra’s latest praise echoes his longstanding admiration for Naidu, including a 2018 remark at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he described meeting Naidu as a “highlight” and called him “one of the most inspiring leaders of modern India.”
