Cricketer KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty have stepped into a new phase of their lives, embracing parenthood with the birth of their daughter on March 24, 2025. The couple took to Instagram to share their joy, posting a heartfelt message that read, “Blessed with a baby girl. 24.03.2025. Athiya and Rahul,” alongside an image of two swans symbolizing their new journey.

Their announcement was met with an overwhelming wave of love from fans, celebrities, and sports personalities alike.

KL Rahul’s absence from Delhi Capitals’ opening IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants had sparked curiosity among cricket enthusiasts. However, the reason was soon revealed—Rahul had flown back to Mumbai to be with Athiya for the birth of their child.

The cricketer, who was acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs 14 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, prioritized this precious family moment over the tournament.

Athiya, daughter of veteran actor Suniel Shetty, and Rahul, one of India’s cricketing stars, tied the knot in January 2023. They had announced their pregnancy in November 2024, calling it their “greatest blessing.” Suniel Shetty, now a doting grandfather, was reportedly moved to tears of happiness as he shared the news with close friends and family.

The couple’s announcement drew a flood of congratulatory messages from Bollywood and sports circles.
